InventHelp® HR Department Draws Blood

InventHelp®, in conjunction with the Central Blood Bank (CBB), is pleased that a recent in-house blood drive exceeded expectations by generating enough blood to help more than 130 people. Coordinated by InventHelp's Human Resources Department, the blood drive was held at our headquarters in the Renshaw Building in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

An InventHelp Employee Gives a "Thumbs-Up" to Giving BloodFor two weeks before the drive, HR set out to sign up donors by appointing recruiters within the company. The recruiters got 67 volunteers to sign up and 45 to actually go through with the donation process.

"The Blood Bank staff was caught off-guard by our exceptional turnout," said Dana Bukowski, HR Assistant. "They had to call additional staff members to help [collect from all the volunteers]."

Blood from one donor is split into three parts; therefore each donor can help up to three people. One hundred thirty-five portions were generated from InventHelp's drive. InventHelp® extends a heartfelt thanks to all the donors, recruiters, HR department and the Central Blood Bank for their time and effort to help the greater Pittsburgh area.

The Central Blood Bank was founded in 1951 by a group of doctors in Pittsburgh, PA. Today, CBB employs over 300 staff members collecting and testing units of over 160,000 donations annually and distributing more than 400,000 blood products a year to over 40 hospitals in Western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.
