InventHelp® Employees Team Up to "Race for the Cure"

For over 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has coordinated the world's largest series of 5K runs and fitness walks – the Komen Race for the Cure®. The program is designed not only to generate money for breast cancer research, but also to promote public awareness of the disease and to stress the crucial importance of early detection.

More than 100 cities in countries around the globe will host a Race for the Cure event this year, with a total of nearly 1.5 million participants worldwide. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – the corporate headquarters of "The Invent Help People" – the event is held each Mother's Day, and this year numerous InventHelp® employees showed up to support the fight against breast cancer.

Members of the InventHelp "Race for the Cure" TeamWhile the more ambitious members of the InventHelp® team took part in the 5K chip-timed run, others participated in the 5K and one-mile fun walks, or simply registered as "Proud in the Crowd" observers. But no matter how much (or little) physical exertion the various InventHelp® staffers chose to undertake, their goal was the same: to strive toward the elimination of breast cancer as a life-threatening condition.

"It was so rewarding to take part in an event where thousands of people were united under a common cause," said InventHelp® employee Liv Dobo, who finished the 5K run with a personal best time. "Joining together in search of a cure is our way of showing support for those who have been affected by breast cancer, and the Race is a great opportunity to educate people about the disease."

An estimated crowd of 33,000 participated in the Pittsburgh event, which generated over $1 million to fund breast cancer research and health services throughout the region. The InventHelp® contingent was one of 420 teams on hand, nearly doubling the total from the previous year.

InventHelp® and our affiliated companies are proud of the employees who enlisted in the fight against breast cancer this past Mother's Day, and we hope that a growing number of people continue to join their efforts to eradicate the disease once and for all.
