New Inventions to Pamper Your Pet

Americans have no shortage of ways to spoil our pets. We love to buy them their own beds, special meals and fancy toys. We don't put our dogs in kennels – they go to "doggie day spas." Design companies like Juicy Couture and Hello Kitty work to make pets as label-conscious as their owners.

In InventHelp's inventor community, we're guessing that many of you feel the same way! There are more pets in the United States than there are people, and Americans spend $41 billion on our four-legged companions. According to a Businessweek article titled "The Pet Economy", the money spent on our pets is more than the total of the gross domestic product of "all but 64 countries in the world."

For our fellow technology and pet lovers out there, here's the latest in pet gadgetry from your two-legged friends at InventHelp!

Komfort Pets Carrier IILet's start with an invention that makes Rover's trip to the pet store (or the vet) more comfortable on very hot or cold days. The Komfort Pets Carrier II is a pet carrier that automatically keeps pets cool when it's too hot and keeps them warm when it's too cold. The invention is powered by utilizing a 110-volt electrical outlet with a 12-volt DC converter or by the 12-volt power outlet in most vehicles. If Rover likes to tag along for outdoor adventures, the carrier can also be powered by a three-hour rechargeable backup battery accessory (with carry bag) for use in remote locations. Available in a variety of colors and sizes, the carrier retail price begins at $149.

Love spending the day at the dog park but hate throwing the slobbery ball? Hyper Products has a line of dog toy inventions that helps even squeamish pet lovers play happily. The Hyperdog™ Ball Launcher catapults a tennis ball up to 220 feet and features hands-free pickup for when (or shall we say, if) Fido decides to bring the ball back. For more information, call Hyper Products at 866-476-4614.

Any pet owner who's come home to a chewed-up couch or an, ahem, "present" on the floor knows it's important to keep pets amused while you're away. Although cats have a reputation as independent creatures, a bored cat can become lazy and even overweight if left alone too much. The Mouse in the House automated cat toy is designed with creative programming that keeps your clever feline friend on its toes. The toy resembles a small living room, and features toy mouse that scurries along a track. If your cat is really smart (and whose isn't?), you can teach the cat to push a red button and activate the toy itself! The Mouse in the House is available at Petco.com.

Dogs and cats are often our best friends. Many of us at InventHelp even think of them family members. As technology continues to evolve, we're happy to see our feline and canine friends getting the benefit of these new products!
