Held June 6-9, 2007, INPEX® featured over a thousand inventions from around the world. This unique environment is designed to help inventors gain exposure and obtain feedback on their ideas.

This year's INPEX® Inventors University™ proved to be a great educational asset for exhibitors. Our Keynote Speaker was John Abdo, regarded as a world authority on life motivation, health, fitness, and athletic conditioning. With faith and perseverance, John has become an award-winning inventor and entrepreneur who successfully transitioned from athlete to coach to businessman.

Other industry professionals in the Inventors University™ included Wendi Cooper, creator and 7-Year Chair of the Electronic Retailing Association's Invention Showcase – now the New Product Hot Spot, and President/CEO of C Spot Run Productions, who shared her extensive industry knowledge and insight with exhibitors. After attending one of Wendi's seminars, pre-selected inventors had the opportunity to pitch their products to the ERA Panel.

Also conducting product reviews at INPEX® 2007 were Everlast®, The Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, Wahl®, Hasbro, Office Depot® and Tupperware®. These product reviews enabled exhibitors to gain valuable feedback on their inventions.

INPEX - the Invention Show 2007 Show Floor But INPEX® 2007 was not all business. On Thursday night, many exhibitors boarded busses to Pittsburgh's Station Square, a riverfront entertainment destination, where they shopped and danced until the wee hours of the morning.

Friday brought more excitement after hours at INPEX®, with the Everlast® Black and Gold Invitational Boxing Match held right in the ExpoMart atrium! In bout after bout, Olympic hopefuls gave it all and kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

At the International Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 9th, the show's inventions were recognized with gold, silver and bronze medals. After a hard week of non-stop activity on the show floor, the exhibitors finally had a chance to relax and dine in the heart of Pittsburgh's cultural center.

Inventions were judged in many separate categories and on an overall basis. After careful review, this year's exclusive Grand Prix Award went to Nick Ramirez, the inventor of Heistproof, a keyless ignition and vehicle immobilizer module.

"I learned so much at INPEX®," said exhibitor Al Sing, inventor of the four-time award winning invention The Handy Scrub Glove. " My hats off to them for such a great and wonderful experience. They were very professional in all they did, with all of us in mind.
