"Friendly Bounce"
From Golf World magazine
Admit
it: After you saw Tiger Woods' famous Nike ad in 1999, where
he bounced a golf ball on the club face of a wedge seemingly forever,
you spent more time than you'll let on trying to learn the
finer points of "golf juggling." So did Marty B.,
a 53 year-old property manager from N.C., who has invented a device
that just might eventually have you outdoing Woods. Dubbed the
"Wassup!," Marty B.'s new golf invention is simple: 18
inches of string with a plastic clip at one end that can attach
to the hosel of any club, and a golf ball on the other. Place
it on any golf club and voila – your own training aid!
"It looks a lot like paddle ball," said Marty B., who came up
with the new golf invention two years ago, received his patent certificate last
month and is working with InventHelp® of Pittsburgh. "I think there is a genuine
market," he said. "I've found you don't
have to be a golfer to want to be able to do that."
