For more than twenty years, InventHelp® has made its headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. InventHelp®, our parent company, Technosystems, and all our subsidiaries encourage our employees to participate in community service activities by sponsoring company-wide events to help those in need. We are proud of our history of partnering with several organizations during the holidays each year in the hopes of making the holidays a little brighter. This year was no different.

InventHelp® hosted a blood drive for the Central Blood Bank that collected blood from 45 volunteers. Blood from one donor is split into three parts, therefore each donor can help up to three people. One hundred thirty-five portions were generated from InventHelp's drive. InventHelp® extends a heartfelt thanks to all the donors, recruiters, HR department and the Central Blood Bank for their time and effort to help the greater Pittsburgh area.
Another big event for the company is the annual food drive. Every year we place boxes in our office buildings and encourage employees to donate non-perishable food items or paper products. InventHelp® also collected financial donations from our employees, raffled Pittsburgh Panthers basketball tickets, and held a 50-50 raffle to generate funds for the Salvation Army to include $5-$10 supermarket gift cards in its care packages. The gift cards are presented along with the food for Salvation Army Social Services Director, Wesley Kerlin, to distribute.
This
year the Salvation Army needed a lot of help. The storms and massive
flooding in the Pittsburgh area caused by Hurricane Ivan drained
the Salvation Army's resources. Of course they were there
to help flood victims, but their assistance left their food pantry
depleted. InventHelp® estimates that our donation this year could help
as many as 72 families in need this holiday season.
InventHelp® also joins the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots campaign every year. Starting in October and running until just before the Christmas holiday, InventHelp® employees are asked to donate a new toy so a needy child can discover the magic of the holidays. The U.S. Marines started their annual toy drive in 1948 and believe that Toys for Tots "delivers a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders." In 2004, Technosystems employees donated in excess of 125 new toys. InventHelp® is proud to join the U.S. Marines in this cause.
